For Christians, the Resurrection of Christ is the biggest holiday of the year, and that's why we call it Easter. Resurrection of Christ reflects in the fullest sense the Christian dogma, namely the belief in the resurrection of the righteous in a better world.

In this line of thought, we would first of all like to express our sincere gratitude to Father Stefan and Father Kliment of Holy Cross Monastery for helping the temple not to be without liturgy. Let us pray for them and the monastery, and help them in whatever way we can.

In addition to health and prosperity, the Easter lunch aims to inspire faith and strength in the church and our community. As you know, the Church of St. St. Cyril and Methodius continues to be open thanks to collected donations, sale of candles and membership. Do not forget that at the basis of all these collected funds are your faith and the feeling of belonging to the Bulgarian community.
We hope that with the collected donations and funds, our church will always remain open in these difficult times.

Please, welcome! The church will be open  from 10:00am  to 2pm on Sunday, April 28th, 2024.

Tradition associates Palm Sunday with the solemn welcome of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem with palm branches, glorified as the Messianic King. He enters the city on a donkey and is greeted by the people with "Hosanna," because he raised Lazarus the day before - on the Sabbath. Solemnly welcomed to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, he willingly walks step by step toward the predestined end of his earthly life.
According to the custom, a festive liturgy is held on Palm Sunday, to which everyone is bringing spring flowers or willow branches, which the priest of the temple bless and then everyone takes home. Unfortunately, this year we won't have service but father Stephen will bless the flowers and willow branches for you to take home.
